About Internet Data Technology

Internet Data Technology is a professional Web development firm specializing in custom design, web-based application development and e-business strategy.

Through the Years

Launched in 1996, IDT quickly grew into a well respected development firm. Headquartered outside of Philadelphia with additional offices in South Florida.

We take a lot of pride in our success over the years. In the early 2000's; the dot-com bubble was bursting and we watched one Web firm after another close its doors. Even our business changed, but through it all, we've been a stable company that continues to enjoy an unmatched reputation.

Dealing with Experience

When you work with IDT you will work directly with a managing partner that puts no less than 22 years direct graphic arts, programming and day-to-day business experience to work on your project.

Our experience extends through the entire life cycle of Internet project development including strategic planning and conceptualization, graphic and content design, portal development (extranets, intranets), database architecture, web-based application development, hosting and ongoing site maintenance.

What's in a Name?

We named our business "Internet Data Technology" because that's what we know. Our background prior to starting IDT was (and still is) grounded on developing database applications that provide business solutions.

Graphical development of the "World Wide Web" can trace its roots back to DOS based prepress applications. Both Dave and Dean have long careers prior to starting IDT utilizing this technology; dating back to the early 1980's.

For over 12 years, IDT has delivered technological strategies and solutions to a diverse client base ranging from Fortune 500 firms to individual entrepreneurs.

Drawing on over 27 years of professional services experience, Dave has honed his skills as a great listener, problem solver, and communicator. His unique ability to assess business situations and find innovative technology solutions to respond to these situations helps clients differentiate themselves from their competition. [more]

Dave started learning the basics of programming during his career as a typesetter in the early 80's with the advent of the Personal Computer. In the years that followed, his experience includes as many as 15 different programming languages.

During his typesetting days, Dave spent his time managing customer databases, converting large-scale mainframe databases to a PC platform where his custom programs converted that data to fully paginated typeset page mechanicals.

Only later would he come to find out that this experience would be the foundation for a new career with IDT. (He still has that first IBM XT with no hard drive and dual 5.25" drives)

In the late 80's, Dave self-published a sales book his father wrote called How to Sell Against Competition and Win. This effort achieved critical acclaim, including selling out the first printing for the Fortune Book of the Month Club. Dave continues to apply many of the lessons learned from his father about competition to this day.

In the early 90's Dave started a business that produced Interactive CD-ROM's that further challenged his creative and programming skills.

While Dave's experiences go back to punch cards, paper tape and CD-ROM's; he now utilizes a different media to accomplish similar tasks.

Dave is married to his wife of 16 years, Lisa and is an instrument rated pilot who also loves boating and golf.

Dean started his Internet career in 1995 when he took on the role of Director of Internet Services at The Technology Marketing Group creating sites for clients such as Mannington Mills, Corning Science Products, Delaware Investments and Gore Electronics. Joining forces with Dave Subers in 1998, Dean and Dave have grown IDT into a thriving and well-respected corporate web development firm. This is attributed to sharing a vision that is based on integrity, honesty and the desire to deliver exceptional value to their clients. [less]
